The Rainbow Tour Part 2

And then to the Horseshoe Falls in the USA.

Oh, blue ants.....oh no, those are people taking the Adventure Tour.

Okay, so we are on the USA side waiting to do the Maid of the Mist, these are the people on the Canadian side doing the Maid of the Mist.  You can go both sides.

Okay, so now it's our turn.  We are given blue hefty bags and told to bring the hem from behind and tie it to the front so it doesn't blow up around our ears.  Helpful hint.  We were also told to ride on the bottom of the boat on the front starboard side. (Facing front of boat that would be front right you land lovers.) 

We watched as the people got off the previous cruise...to see how wet they were...if they rode top side, they were wet, but otherwise just pretty misty.  Okay, pretty damp.

This is the boat we will be on, as the passengers get off and file past us, we keep saying to ourselves, "They're not that wet".

Carol, bravely staying close to the rail, she wants to get wet.

Carol, still by the rail....now mind you, I have my wonderful Nikon D90 with me, and I don't want to drown it or me.  And to be totally honest I don't look good wet...but also, my Nikon doesn't focus well with water spots on the lens.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yes, Carol, I got a picture of the rainbow.

We are very close to the falls.

Yep, I'm in the middle of the boat, protecting my fine camera.

We survived.  Carol had a little water run down her sleeves but all and all, she wasn't that wet either, but you see the spots on this photo that is because my camera lens is wet.

Now off to the Whirlpool Park on the USA side.
