I get to drive Carol's car, it is slightly smaller, easier to get out of tight places (that I tend to go on a whim and a look see, and have to get us out of) and I'm sure the gas mileage is much better!
Strange thing though...Carol does not name her vehicles...so I named it, it is now Sweet Little Lincoln.
So, I arrived at Carol's house at about 10am and we transferred my gear from Moe into her SLL. And headed toward Niagara Falls, New York.
Now mind you, we had no plans, well, okay, we had reservations for Wednesday and Thursday night at the Embassy Hotel but that was it. We were traveling "loosie goosie".
We shared a burger for lunch at Burger King then really enjoyed driving through residential areas along Lake Erie in Cleveland Ohio where we saw a lot of really older beautiful homes. If there was a way to get back to see them, we took it.
Around 4pm we stopped at the Mentor Beach Park, City of Mentor Ohio to stretch our legs, which we really needed and have a look around.
Around 7 pm we landed in Erie PA at a Comfort Inn and enjoyed a nice dinner at Applebees.
We are enjoying the drive and just getting back together again, talking about everything!! We are really trying to stay off major highways, so far so good. The weather has been cool, not cold and it has not rained!!!
